5 REASONS WHY LED LIGHTING IS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Energy Efficient: LEDs are now capable of outputting 135 lumens per watt. For example, if we consider an LED A19 (most common screw in bulb type) that runs on 9W. The lumen output would be 1215 lumens. If we were replacing an incandescent A19 at 60W that puts out approximately the same amount of light, the drop-in power is clear. This is an 85% reduction in energy usage. Of course, not all lamp replacements are this energy efficient. In most cases, the average you can expect to see is anywhere from 30-70% reduction in power.
Long Life Time Usage:50,000 hours of life is an industry standard for most types of LED lights. This equates to 5.7 years of continuous use. Compare that to halogen, incandescent, and fluorescent lamps which burn out within 10,000-20,000 hours.
Rugged: LEDs are durable. Many are made with a plastic material or if you want to customize them to be made of glass, anything is possible.
Instant Start:They have no trouble starting in any weather condition. Compared to HPS or Metal Halide lamps that operate with a ballast that needs to warm up before it can power the lamp. LEDs have an internal driver that gives power to the LED instantly.
Non-Toxic:LEDs lamps are eco-friendly. CFL and fluorescent lamps contain mercury which is known to leach into the soil and eventually leach into the water system of any community.
