INNOVA App Reconnection Guide

When the controller loses its cloud session, it can remain powered (lights staying on) while no longer accepting commands from the app.
Steps to Re-Establish App Control
Please follow these steps in order:
1. Power-cycle the controller (important)

Turn off power to the INNOVA controller at the breaker or power source

Leave it off for 60 seconds
-
Restore power and wait 2–3 minutes for the controller to fully boot and reconnect
This clears the controller’s internal state and forces a fresh cloud handshake.
2. Confirm Wi-Fi connection (Connect to “INNOVA SMART LIGHTS” Network)

Ensure the controller is connected to:

A 2.4 GHz network (not 5 GHz)
-
A stable network with internet access
-

If the controller is still visible via its local Wi-Fi interface “INNOVA SMART LIGHTS”, confirm:

Correct network name (Case Sensitive, Space Sensitive. Must be spelled exactly)

Correct password
-
Signal strength is good at the controller location
-
3. Restart the app
-
Fully close the INNOVA app (not just background it)
-
Reopen the app and allow up to 60 seconds for synchronization
4. Log out and back into the app
-
If controls are still unavailable:
-
Log out of the app
-
Log back in
-
Wait for the system to re-sync
-
5. Final reset (only if needed)

If the app still does not respond after the above:
-
Repeat the power-cycle once more
-
Then reopen the app

What to Expect
Once the controller completes a fresh boot with the correct Wi-Fi credentials, app control should be restored and normal scheduling will resume.​
